Being in the Kitchen & Bathroom industry, Angie was frustrated by the lack of availability and options for kitchen and bathroom sinks basins.
Butler/Farmstyle sinks were becoming ever popular in South Africa, yet the supply fell short of the demand! Once found, Angie decided to stock up in bulk – essentially for her own clients! Word got out about her stockpile and soon other kitchen and design companies were buying from her. Such began The Kitchen Sink.
Today The Kitchen Sink offers a range of Butler sinks and basins in varying shapes and sizes, from apron style, drop-in or under-mount.
Butler sinks have been around for centuries and are a lot more robust than imagined. They are easy to clean, resistant to heat, scratches, dirt, household chemicals, stains and odours. They do however need to be handled with an appropriate amount of care and may chip or crack on high impact. They are handcrafted out of fireclay, then glazed in a kiln, and may contain slight imperfections. Sizes may vary slightly due to firing tolerances. We recommend that you get the sink before manufacturing.
